Work history
As mentioned, I have worked within a range of companies - from startup agencies to multinationals. Below is a brief description of each of my previous posts. Click on the company name to see details of my responsibilities, projects and skills used.
Touch Local
This high-traffic site has become the UK's second most-popular online business directory with 4.9 millions visitors per month. I was responsible for the HTML/CSS templates and worked closely with the Development team.
Student Partnerships Worldwide
I took a year off in 2003/04 to travel and volunteer in East Africa. I spent 8 months in a rural Tanzanian village working with students and the community to promote awareness of HIV/AIDS and other sexual dangers.
Vodafone NZ
My role in the New Zealand division of the world's largest mobile company involved maintaining our site - working with internal departments and our design agency. We also helped our Australian counterparts with development and provided best practise guidelines for Vodafone Global.
HIT Studios
Web development startup where my client-facing role included designing database-driven sites and creating a dynamic WAP site.
XtraMSN
New Zealand's largest portal and internet arm of Telecom NZ. Team responsibilities included redesigning our site, maintaining several channels and creating mini-sites for special events.
Business Internet Solutions
ISP and web design startup where I developed database-driven websites (including the NZ Rugby League site), assisted the webmaster and manned the helpdesk.
